Think.Act.Belong
PSEA's new statewide membership organizing campaign uses best practices to build healthy locals and increase membership through comprehensive membership and solidarity activities. The name Think.Act.Belong. reflects the process involved in achieving goals: gathering and sharing information; joining and getting involved; and creating a culture of belonging -which ultimately builds loyalty and a sense of community. How can I help?

Many members want to know how they can help YCEA achieve its mission of working to make York City Schools the best they can be. YCEA members help us achieve this goal by doing the following:

  • Volunteering to help with Community Service projects
  • Attending school board meetings
  • Serving on various YCEA committees
  • Writing letters and e-mail messages to school board members and legislators
  • Mentoring new teachers
  • Alerting building representatives and YCEA leadership to actual or potential contract violations
